Our story
DearTuft began with my own pet, Mochi—and the wish to keep that love close not only in photos, but in something I could hold.
Why I started
Mochi filled ordinary days with small rituals: waiting by the door, claiming the sunniest spot, and teaching me to notice details I used to rush past. When I wanted a keepsake that felt as soft and present as those memories, a screen full of photos never felt like enough. I wanted something tactile—handmade, quiet, and true to the animal I knew.
What DearTuft is
That longing became DearTuft. Together with makers who care about pets as deeply as we do, we turn clear photos into custom wool keepsakes—charms and figures shaped by hand, one needle at a time. We study markings, posture, and expression so the finished piece feels familiar when it arrives in your hands.
How we work
Pieces are handmade to order—about 2–6 weeks after usable photos. We review your photos within 1–2 business days, send a progress update during making, and share pre-ship photos/video for your approval. Unlimited adjustments until you’re happy. Founding Collector Price applies to the first 20 custom orders. Worldwide shipping. We don’t lead with grief. We lead with care, craft, and the little details that make love visible.
